Will the Sun Come Out Tomorrow? (A discussion of the significance of the Tomorrow Soliloquy, Hamlet Act III) In Shakespeare’s Hamlet, we are introduced to the most controversial question; â€Å"to be or not to be†. To be, or not to be, what? Alive, Dead, Happy? That is the question. Throughout time this phrase has been used over and over, for the right reasons, and in a joking manner, but everyone has had trouble figuring the meaning. In reality, to be, or not to be, could be relevant to anything. In the tomorrow soliloquy a person can learn about most of the play, and pick up a sense of who Hamlet is. The honesty, his search for the reason to exist, and revenge. Shakespeare’s Hamlet, tomorrow Soliloquy Act III is significant to the play to show who Hamlet is. First, in Shakespeare’s Hamlet, Act I Scene ii, anyone can see that Hamlet is honest with not only himself, but with his family and emotions, playing crazy doesn’t diminish noble qualities li ke honesty. Hamlet exchanges with his mother; â€Å"queen: If it be, why it seems so particular with thee? Hamlet: Seems madam? Nay! It is!† Hamlet then continues to explain just how miserable he is, and why he doesn’t just look sad he is sad. â€Å"Hamlet shows us that even in times of great sorrow, there is no need to lie, and that maybe it is ok to tell people that you’re sad, because you may never know what could come of it.
